Flea Style Does Austin City Limits

Flea Style Does Austin City Limits

Since this blog is all about getting to know us — and our vendors! — we thought we’d let you in on a little secret: We love music! Like really, really love it. On a typical work day, you’ll find us swaying in our office chairs (On Fleek, Ultimate Indie and Wild and Free are current Spotify station faves) while tackling our daily tasks.

When our fall intern Tahesin told us she was headed to Austin City Limits Music Festival we asked her to report back on the latest music and festival fashion trends.

We’re thrilled to say that our fall shows are on key. From fringe accents to bold print fashions, our vendors and online shop are rocking the music scene’s hottest trends (see four of our faves below).

So whether you have a concert on the horizon or just want to rock your inner Beyonce, read below and be sure to hit our fall shows!

WHITE

Our favorite fashion rule to break is no white past Labor Day and we were jazzed to see that the ACL set agrees. From shilloutte shapes to loose layers, white was a hot color at the festival. Since fall still hasn’t gotten the memo that summer is o-v-e-r, breezy light-weight layers were also a big trend for concert goers that wanted to stay cool while channeling the new season.

BOLD PRINTS

Bold colors and prints — and mix and matching them — was another festival fave. Bright florals, paisley and ethnic prints set the tone for a laid-back bohemian vibe. Eye-popping maxi dresses, palazzo pants and culottes were particularly popular at the shows. A lot of attendees topped of their look with a floppy hat a la ‘70s Woodstock.

BOHO ACCESSORIES

Accessories were top acts at ACL. Top billing goes to belts from leather to low-slung chainmail style. We noticed girls rocking the layered necklace look often and aviator sunglasses were definitely the top eyewear trend.

DENIM

It wouldn’t be a Texas event without some denim. Cut-off shorts won most popular, and most girls accented them with a leather belt and casual cotton tee or tank.
