Q&A with Taylor Custer Jewelry

When away from her software marketing director day job, Taylor Custer Crosby is stringing beads or twisting metal for her home-based jewelry business known for its subtle bohemian flair.

The Southern Methodist University grad uses gemstones, tassels, sterling silver and other eye-catching materials to handcraft her popular line of necklaces and earrings.

“I’m inspired by the beauty of natural stones,” says the Dallas native. “I like to make jewelry that’s on-trend but classic.”

Coffee or tea?

I drink green tea everyday; I just got back from Japan and love their varieties! I do like the occasional soy latte too.

Mac or PC?

Mac! I’m a recent convert from a PC. I love how it integrates with my iPhone.

Dream travel destination:

Morocco, South Africa or India.

Dream job:

If I wasn’t a marketing director part time, I would probably be making jewelry full-time. I took a metalsmithing class earlier this year and would love to explore more custom metal work.
