Two weeks ago, I decided we needed bigger digs. I knew I was about to hire a new team member and our cute but cozy studio wasn’t going to cut it anymore.
I embarked on a mad hunt for new office space. I wanted something less than five miles from my home (more specifically my two toddlers) with a dock door for our oversized partitions/decor/props/tables that are currently in storage.
After checking out a few cool locales, I landed at a creative business park two doors down from my best friend and across the street from my hubby.
I inked the deal, hired a handyman and got to work right away on the space from painting the conference room and doors to busting through a wall and adding decorative finishes (with a flea five weeks away, you don’t mess around).
In one week’s time we’ve transformed the commercial space into a homey hippie hangout complete with a driftwood chandelier dripping from the conference room ceiling and rolling vintage doors in our lounge area.
Between our old office furnishings, my longstanding hoarding habit and ninja vintage shopping skills, we also amassed some incredible fresh face pieces to fill the new space.
Today is the big move-in day. We can’t wait to share the after photos with y’all!
