My Soundtrack: Wayne Works

Tyler Wayne is a stud. The Wayne Works founder can restore cars, motorcycles and craft the coolest geometric shaped lights you’ve ever seen.

“I grew up surrounded by tools and a father that taught me how to use them,” says the full-time maker, whose line includes furniture, decor and lamps with a minimalist vibe. “Wayne Works represents the creative and innovative output of my mind and hands. I’m still coming into my design motifs and style, but they mainly are driven by industrial and more modern elements.”

We asked Tyler to compile a list of his favorite tunes that keep him motivated on the job.

Wayne Works 2

Instant Crush – Daft Punk/Julian Casablancas

Takes me back a few years, but a great song to drive to at night.

You Only Live Once – The Strokes

Great beat that gets me in a good mood (and singing).

Wings – Podunk

Takes me back to high school cruising in my car with the windows down!

I Want You to Want Me – Cheap Trick

I sing this song over and over.

Loud Pipes – Ratatat

Great instrumental song to get into the work zone.

Fade – Alan Walker

Recently discovered this and love it in the background at work.

Little Bribes – Death Cab for Cutie

Great verses.

Universally Speaking – Red Hot Chili Peppers

I like any song by RHCP, but this one always puts me in a good mood.

Jump Right In – The Urge

Throwback to my younger days and love the beat.

Hot Cookin – G. Love

Great relaxing music when I am in the zone sanding and welding.
