Happy weekend, y’all! We’re still recovering from a fast and furious three days in Houston last week.
We booked this trip for several reasons. First and foremost, we wanted to pound the pavement and pass out thousands of flyers and dozens of posters to local establishments and shoppers to promote our May 7th show at Silver Street Studios. We also hosted a Houston launch party at vendor Manready Mercantile’s drool-worthy shop, enjoyed a vendor happy hour and met with a long list of people involved in our show from our publicist and event planner to electrician, photographer and bar staffing company.
We also squeezed in a few private interviews with vendors for future blog and video posts. We toured some of their homes, workspaces and even learned how to make a killer old fashioned cocktail from one of them. All that jazz to come soon.
We had an absolute blast blazing through HTX and are so pumped for May 7th. Here are some scenes from of our whirlwind trip.
Meet Silver Street Studios, our gorgeous Houston venue.
We ate our way through town from taco joints and bars to the lovely local landmark Tiny Boxwoods. We didn’t have a bad meal. Houston, your food scene is amazing!
Hustlin’ our way around HTX. We passed out more than 2,000 flyers and 20 posters all over the city.
Meeting with our event planner Piper. Everyone we’ve worked with in Houston has been so welcoming and awesome.
Meet Stephanie, one of our adorable (and painfully talented) vendors. We kicked off the trip with a fun happy hour to meet our amazing Houston creatives.
Most of our second day was spent with Manready Mercantile and its owner Travis Weaver. This is his desk, which I could stare at for hours.
Travis was gracious enough to host our launch party for Houston editors, bloggers and tastemakers. A big shout-out to Tidbits, Kendall-Jackson, Lee’s Fried Chicken and Donuts, Lush Puff and Bramble & Bee bespoke floral design for all of their help, too! We’re so grateful for all of their support! P.S. How cute is our invite above?!
We displayed several items from our vendors at the party to give attendees an idea of what to expect May 7th. If y’all could’ve only seen us driving down with all of our loot, luggage and ladder!
Can’t believe the show is less that three weeks away. We can’t wait, Houston!
