We love Instagram. Our favorite social media platform entertains and inspires us day and night. Of course we follow accounts full of French bulldogs and fruit spring rolls, but it’s those showcasing vintage fashion and home goods that really make our hearts thump. Here are a few of our faves.
Laughing: Amber Lewis’s style is the perfect blend of bohemian and transitional. Plus, she’s so raw and hilarious. Not sure if I’d rather raid her prop closet or have a drink with her!
Remembering: My friend Maryam Montague runs this gorgeous feed of Moroccan goodness. I’ve stayed with her twice in Marrakech, and each time I see one of her posts it takes me back to one of my favorite places on the planet.
Coveting: Justina Blakeney is a girl after my own heart. From her boho home spreads to random palm frond photos, every shot makes me swoon.
Channeling: Man Repeller is a showcase of founder Leandra Medine’s fashion sense. I am obsessed with her quirky, weird and totally put together outfits. Her oddball getups are easy to re-create with thrift store finds and a willing heart to cut, sew or tie away.
Window Shopping: This feed for a market in New York and Los Angeles of 60-plus curated, vintage-only vendors is so textured and retro. I always find myself double tapping before even realizing who it is.
Daydreaming: The vintage market in California gives followers a mix of actual vintage photos and tight shots of gorgeous prints and fabrics.
Spying: Kelly Vittengl’s dreamy feed is filled with interiors featuring her gorgeous vintage and antique rugs, as well as beautiful scenery. It makes me want to grab a black coffee, sit on a white down comforter, and just scroll.
Traveling: I’ve loved this brand since I first laid eyes on it in stores. The wanderlust-worthy photos of destinations from all over the world include people using their products.
Craving: This one is so random, but I really do love it. Here is where I learn about anything and everything new that Trader Joe’s is carrying, as well as awesome deals happening that week.
Complementing: I buy the gorgeous print issues every quarter. The photography is incredible, their topics are always on point, and none of the women they feature are Photoshopped.
Lazing: Palm Springs Style makes me warm and happy and lazy all over.
Floating: Whether clothing or scenery, it’s all ethereal. Scrolling through this feed is like closing your eyes and taking a slow, deep breath.
Groovin’: This one is for those of us who just want to rock a sweet ’70s style.
Smiling: If you like pink (and I like pink) and just pretty in general, you’ll like Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman’s ode to home decor projects, recipes and crafts. It’s a DIY dream, and every image makes me smile.
Drooling: I can’t always eat ice cream sandwiches, but I can always look at ice cream sandwiches. Particularly those made as thoughtfully as these.
