Dinner Party, Texas Style
Sonny Bryan’s original location is right near our office. We’re always there for lunch to munch on pulled chicken and rolls slathered with honey butter — and whenever we have out-of-town guests, we like to share our love of barbecue (and peach cobbler!). Y’all know how much we also love all things vintage (the restaurant has been in biz since 1910!) and to support local companies, so the Texas institution was the perfect place to host our Summit panelist dinner.
Friday night was a casual affair.
We dressed The Mercedes Room (located adjacent to the restaurant and perfect for parties) the Flea Style way: Spot the streamers from our spring shows and the serape table runners from Sunshine Tienda?
Crooner Jackson Eli provided the sound track for the evening. He’s played at Flea Style shows since 2008. He even played at Brittany’s wedding!
The bonding started even before dinner was served.
But it really got going with a little Texas beer and wine.
We all made lots of new friends.
And we went home with iced sugar cookies shaped like the Lone Star State, courtesy of Society Bakery.
It was the perfect kick-off to what turned out to be an event beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you to everyone! We couldn’t have done it without you, and our hearts are filled with gratitude.

Sonny Bryan’s has seven locations in Dallas-Fort Worth. In addition to The Mercedes Room at the original location on Inwood, there are also private rooms at the West End location (Maverick Room) and Richardson location (Mustang Room).
