It’s been a super busy year for Flea Style. We held our first Houston show, launched the Summit, put out our first fashion collection and launched e-commerce like boom! boom! boom! Amid all the scouting, meeting, planning, designing and shopping, we’ve also done a bunch of interviews.
It’s amazing to see the Flea Style vision come to fruition — and it’s very cool to share what we’ve learned along the way.
In case you missed them, here are the stories from the last few months.
Everything Old Is New Again
In the August issue of Success Magazine, reporter Jonny Auping wrote about old-school innovation. Flea Style was one of four businesses highlighted that have put a modern twist on a classic. We were in good company with ventures such as a newfangled record-of-the-month club and an app that enlists road-trippers to help people get things from point A to point B.
Girl Talk
We really admire the ladies at The Everygirl, so it was an honor to be featured on the site. In addition to the office tour, there were honest answers to tough questions, Brittany shared her girl crush (hint: think E.T. and 40 First Dates), and we got to share a bit about our Summit in the fun article.
Hometown Honey
D Magazine called our Summit “all kinds of cool” in its coverage of the event. It’s not the first time the magazine or one of its offshoots has featured our founder, Brittany Cobb, who — fun fact! — was a college intern at the magazine. D Home showed off Brittany’s home back in 2013. That same year, she shared her beauty advice in D Moms.
Home Away from Home
Writer Hannah Toles toured the Flea Style office in her “Desk Envy” story for Apartment Therapy. We’ve been reading the publication since its earliest days, and it was such a treat to share our style and some of our favorite places to shop with the AT audience.
As we continue to grow, we’ll continue to share our space and our thoughts, in the hopes that we will inspire others to pursue their creative passions. There’s nothing like living your dream.
