Save the Date: Flea Style Winter Summit
Got a pen?
Mark February 25 on your calendar. We promise a Saturday of education, inspiration, networking, shopping and much more.
This time around, the Summit will be at FIG, a venue that seems like it was built just for us. Moving forward, the plan is to keep the Flea Style Summit in our hometown of Dallas during the winter — and take the show on the road during the summer. We love this downtown location for its cool vibe, exposed brick walls and strands of twinkling lights — and because it gives us room to grow. Plus, there are five same-size showrooms that are perfect for the breakout sessions we know you’re going to love. That sound you hear right now is us squealing over this locale!
As far as speakers go, we’re still building the list as we type, but here’s a peek at the rockstar panel that’s shaping up in a truly spine-tingling way.
Allyson Fulcher: This Texas native and former Lulu & Georgia marketing director is now managing editor of The Everygirl. She’s helped build the cult brand geared toward creative, career-driven women through smart, beautiful content and a social media strategy that’s earned nearly 490,000 Instagram followers (that’s more than Goop, friends) in just four years.
Lauren Williams: Another Texas native, the brains and the brawn behind Boho by Lauren spent time running a Pilates and spin studio in L.A. before returning to the Lone Star State and launching her fiber-art business in 2015. In short order, Williams has built a thriving artistic biz that allows her to work from home, be with her three children and express her creativity to the fullest. Her handmade dip-dyed tapestries are highly coveted, and she recently added kantha quilts to her offerings online.
Carley Seale: A one-time medical sales rep, Seale opened Gypsy Wagon in Dallas nearly 10 years ago. With an inspiring mix of new and vintage clothing, gifts and home goods, the shop is a boho lover’s dream come true — and a business person’s dream as well. Seale, who was a vendor at our very first show, has expanded her brick-and-mortar to additional locations both within and outside of Texas and recently launched a new website with e-commerce in order to reach an even greater customer base.
Judy and Jane Aldridge: This mother-daughter pair head up AtlantisHome.com and SeaofShoes.com, respectively. These Texas ladies built their influencer status on their absolute passion for fashion and design. Though they often appear fancy, they both favor one-of-a-kind vintage pieces. Earlier this year, Jane was named one of the top 10 highest-paid Instagram celebs, and brands of all kinds pay her big bucks to flex her social media muscle in their name.
These five fantastic women and others will share a wealth of wisdom with Summit attendees, from how they got started to what they discovered about finding success to what they’ve learned the hard way. There will be no shortage of tips and tricks and takeaways — and, of course, there will be shopping and sips and eats and many, many awesome treats! And we’re not going too far when we say that the Flea Style Summit can be life changing: Just ask the gals of Nerd & Brawler.
