How to Style Kimonos
Kimonos are timeless, yet totally on-trend. We can’t get enough of the classic Japanese robe that can be worn today easy breezy as a duster, light jacket or even dress with the right belt and slip.
We recently received several gorgeous kimonos in store and wanted to share them with you online! Here are a few ways we love to style the fashion staple.

Slip on the right accessories, and your kimono can sway from traditional to boho-chic. We love chunky jewelry pieces with kimonos to balance out the top’s straight lines and simple shape. The more you layer, the more rocker or bohemian your look will slant. Opt for dainty gems for a more conservative vibe. Grab a fun bag and sunnies and you’re out the door looking fly no matter your style.
Kimonos look totally on point with denim dark or light. Whether with skinny jeans or rolled up jean shorts, the top effortlessly works when paired with a casual tee or tank. Want to dress up your look? Slip on some heels, an evening bag and elegant statement earrings. For daytime, opt for sandals or tennis shoes and an oversized straw bag and you’re ready to rock.
SCALE IS KEY
Kimono sizing can be a little tricky. They are boxy, baggy and sometimes a little long for shorter frames. If you feel like you’ll be swallowed in a long kimono, throw on a pair of chunky heels or opt for one of the traditional shorter styles. Don’t be afraid to tailor your top to fit you just right in length. Don’t hurt the integrity of its sleeves and square shape, but take the hem up a bit if it helps.
