Fridays with Flea Style: Bachelorette + ESPN Host Rachel Lindsay
Rachel Lindsay may be best known for her Bachelor and Bachelorette screen time, but the 33-year old attorney has a wildly impressive resume under her belt, too. We recently sat down with the Dallas-based girlboss to discuss her time on the ABC series as well as life after the final rose and how she’s pivoting from the courtroom to locker room.
Read and tune in below to learn her feelings about the show, inspiring career path and career advice for people seeking out their passion — plus tons of Bachelorette scoop!
We’ll start with some of our go-to podcast guest questions here. Favorite quote? “When people show you who they are, believe them” by Maya Angelou.
Book currently on your nightstand? Becoming by Michelle Obama.
If you could score a mentor session with anybody for an hour, who would you want to sit down with and why? Michelle Obama. She is a trailblazer and a fighter.
If you didn’t do your current job, what would you be doing and why? Right now, I do feel like I am living a piece of my dream, working in sports and entertainment. But I just want it to be bigger and better.
Describe your picture perfect day off: Lounging in my pj’s in bed with Bryan and Copper watching Game of Thrones with Postmates on call.
Current playlist on repeat? It’s Lit and Office DJ playlists on Apple Music.
If money was no object, what would you splurge on for yourself? I would travel around the world. I used to not be into travelling which I think is such a small-minded way of thinking. Travelling opens you up to a world you never knew to learn about different cultures, individuals and new adventures.
Ok, now a couple quick Bachelor Nation questions. What made you decide to go on The Bachelor? Tune into the podcast to hear the full story! But it was more of a why not moment for me. My co-workers thought it would be great for me to do it. I had just left a five-year relationship and I felt I was in a funk. My coworkers opened a window and I cautiously jumped through it.
What’s the actual day-to-day like on set? Interviews, eating, drinking, tanning, hanging by the pool, reading, journaling, girl chats… And, if you are lucky enough to get a date that week, then you go on a date.
What is something random the viewers would love to know about participating on the series? The Bachelor mansion is nasty!
