Spring cleaning season is here. Which, for us, means we want to shake up our spaces and infuse lots of fresh decor finds.
We’ve recently added several new home vendors into our store to offer a wide range of products to spruce up digs this season from candles poured in vintage glassware to boho pillows and repurposed furniture.
Meet three of these makers and learn a bit about their small business stories.
Describe your business: Hi, I’m Micah Unger and I offer coastal bohemian inspired textiles, home goods and accessories (think Moroccan blankets with chunky tassels, straw beach totes and woven wall hangings).
Company launch date: February 1, 2018
Favorite thing about being a business owner? There are no rules!
Hopes for business in the next three years? I’d love to open a boutique in Tulum, Mexico.
Beach or mountains? Beach!

A little about me: Hi, my name is Lindsey and I collect, refinish, reupholster and repurpose furniture and finds I source street-side on their way to the trash. I can’t help myself from picking up furniture off the curb; it just feels so wasteful to send more stuff — stuff that I think has potential! — to the landfill. Giventory is curb inventory that I re-design. Each piece of curb furniture that gets a new home comes with a small packaged gift to give to a homeless person in need. If you buy something at Flea Style, the staff is happy to donate on behalf of the buyer to a local person in need.

Dream dinner guest: My dream dinner guest (though she has sadly passed) would be Avriel Shull. Avriel Shull was a bright, creative, pioneering, self-taught architect, designer and artist in the 50s-70s. Her gumption is inspiring.
Mountains or Beach? Mountains.

What do you like about small business life? The community of like-minded people, the incredible creative outlet and the rewarding challenge of following our dream.
Beach or mountains? Beach and all the yummy cocktails that come with it!
