If you could score a mentor session with anybody for an hour, who would you want to sit down with and why?
Jen Sincero. Her books have really changed my life in so many ways.
If you could give your 20-year-old self advice, what would it be?
Build your network and keep them close — even if you change jobs or move industries. You’d be surprised how many people will come back in your professional life again. The world is smaller then you think!
Favorite motto/quote/life advice:
“Travel to fill your tanks. If we’re not seeing new life, we repeat ourselves. It is not a luxury; it it is necessity” by Genevieve Gorder.
You made such a drastic change in industries, do you ever miss the CPA life?
Absolutely not! I definitely miss the idea that there is a defined career path and trajectory within an industry like accounting, but the freelance life keeps me on my toes.
Dream podcast guest?
Michelle Obama or Jen Sincero.
Last meal on earth would be?
A big bowl of pasta and large glass of wine.
Dream travel destination?
Everywhere! I still need to hit Australia, a lot of South America and South Africa. I would live in Italy if I had my way!
