The finish line is in sight, and we’re crazy-excited to get inside our beautiful new headquarters!
Last week, our original concrete floors were sanded, polished and coated with a matte sealer. With all of our spaces, I’ve chosen to keep the raw floors to showcase their history and tales from the past.
I don’t know the entire history about this building, but the last tenant was a soup kitchen for the homeless. In addition to the original floors, I also preserved some of the vintage painted sections in our distribution area to honor years past in this cool space.
On Wednesday, our kitchen and bathroom cabinets were installed. I chose a simple Shaker style door and sleek aged brass pulls. They’ll be painted a pale gray color to allow our golden subway tiles left over from Heirloom Haul to shine.
Our wallpaper recently arrived for an entry accent wall and the bathroom. I've used they tan and white palm pattern in several concepts and wanted to highlight it in the HQ, too.
I recently re-visited some pieces I’ve been keeping in storage, and started to design some common areas with these vintage gems I’ve held onto waiting for the perfect home.
I have a vintage grasscloth console that will be perfect for our entryway. I bought this piece from the Salvation Army in my mid 20s when I moved back to Dallas from New York City. It was for my studio apartment at the time and has traveled with me to my former home to our Frisco store. Excited to have it find it's forever home in our HQ.
Paint is now complete and looks so fresh and clean. Bathroom tile is also finished; the kitchen gets started end of this week. Yesterday I selected some pretty aged brass faucets and bathroom accessories and set up delivery for our kitchen appliances.
Today I'm hoping to break away from the office early to shop for some unique furniture and decor pieces for our conference room. I'm also in Canton later this week to hopefully snag those fun, funky finds that make our spaces feel so Flea Style.
We set the date for the big move next Thursday and Friday and installers are all booked and ready. During these final days, we will be finalizing distribution fixtures, office furniture and alllllll the little things that pull a space together from accessories to art and new equipment.
I can't wait to show you the finished space in all its glory. I. Am. Giddy!!!
