There are moments in life that feel quietly significant while you’re working toward them — and then there are moments that arrive with joyful clarity that say, you did it. This week is one of those occasions for me.

On Tuesday, How to Style a Hat officially hits bookstores. (See below for some fun celebration giveaways and promos!)
It’s surreal to even type that sentence. What started as a simple idea — something I’ve carried with me for years—turned into a two-year journey of creativity, doubt, excitement, and growth. There were late nights refining chapters, early mornings second-guessing edits, and countless in-between moments where I wondered if I was truly capturing what I wanted to say. But through it all, there was this steady pull to keep going. I knew this story, this guide, this piece of my heart, needed to exist in the world.

Writing this book has been a true bucket list experience. One of those goals you tuck away and revisit from time to time, not always sure when — or if — it will happen. Getting to cross that off my list feels incredibly meaningful, not just because it’s done, but because of everything I learned along the way. This process pushed me creatively, challenged me to trust my voice, and reminded me why I fell in love with this industry in the first place.

Of course, no journey like this happens alone. I’ve been so fortunate to have a circle of people who believed in me, supported me, and encouraged me when things felt overwhelming. From my team to my family to the friends who listened to me talk through ideas (and re-talk through them again), every bit of support mattered more than I can say.

I’m especially grateful to Miranda Lambert for writing the foreword. Having her voice and perspective included in this book means the world to me. She embodies authenticity and confidence in such a natural way, and her words set the tone for everything I hoped this book would represent.

Now, as the tome makes its way on bookshelves — copies in our stores are of coursed signed! — I’m stepping into another exciting chapter: the book tour. Getting to take this project on the road and connect with all of you in person is something I’ve been looking forward to from the very beginning. There’s nothing quite like meeting the community that has supported you, hearing your stories, and sharing this experience face-to-face.

I’m especially excited for the stops we have planned this summer in our DFW stores. There’s something extra special about bringing this journey home and celebrating it with the customers who have been part of the brand from the start. You’ve watched this grow, evolve, and become what it is today—and now we get to celebrate this milestone together.

As I look ahead, I feel a mix of gratitude and anticipation. Gratitude for the journey, the lessons, and the people who made it possible. And anticipation for what’s still to come—the conversations, the connections, and the continued moments of inspiration along the way.

If you pick up a copy of How to Style a Hat, I hope you see a little piece of yourself in it. I hope it inspires you to take risks, express yourself, and maybe even chase a dream you’ve been holding onto.
This is just the beginning—and I truly can’t wait to see you out on the road.
