Renovate: To refresh or restore (typically something old, especially a building) to a good state of repair.
Lately, it feels like I’m living in a season of renovation and construction—both literal and figurative—and honestly, there’s something cathartic about it. Both require patience, vision, and a whole lot of trust in what’s coming next. And right now, that theme is showing up everywhere I turn.

In Houston, our future store is quickly taking shape. The renovation process is well underway, with paint dry, wallpaper hung, and some special details slowly revealing themselves after a month of nonstop planning. There’s a special kind of energy in a space that’s mid-transformation — messy, imperfect, but full of promise. Every decision being made is rooted in how we want people to feel when they walk through the doors, and watching that vision become tangible has been incredibly rewarding — and fun!
Longtime followers will recognize some common themes in this store: a pod of crystal globe lights, our signature Shoji White paint (Sherwin Williams 7042) and chippy wood architectural relics. But there are some unique selections just for this location that I’m so excited about from new hues (deep olive for our staircases and a clay gray for the walls) to alcoves of 3-D wallpaper spread evenly throughout the floor.
Meanwhile, in downtown Nashville, another chapter is beginning. After the flood and fire that completely ruined our store Christmas night, the road back has been long, emotional, and deeply humbling. Our remodel finally started last week and isn’t just about repairing what was damaged — it’s about rebuilding with intention and resilience. Kicking off construction there feels like a milestone worth pausing to acknowledge. We’re pouring heart back into that space, honoring what it’s been while thoughtfully shaping what it will become next.
Beyond brick and mortar, the behind-the-scenes work has been just as full. Countless hours have been spent planning my upcoming book tour stops — logistics, timelines, conversations, and creativity all overlapping in the best and most exhausting ways. There’s a lot of unseen effort that goes into bringing these moments to life, and right now, the calendar is proof of just how much collaboration and care is happening across the team.
We’ve started to shape up our stops including some fun local visits from SMU to Half Price Books. We’ve also designed a new truck wrap for our mobile hat bar and boutique for some fun activations during the tour. I can’t wait to share more with you very, very soon.
Amid all of this, I’ve also started to refresh my social media mindset. Y’all have been asking for more behind-the-scenes and real talk on topics including my personal life, decorating projects, daily routine and entrepreneurial mindset. I’m excited to compartmentalize — and celebrate — both worlds a bit more and share my days deeper.
If you’d like to see more of my personal/CEO life, head over to @brittanycobb for that content — including an exciting new home renovation project for me and the kids that we’re just getting started on. It’s another reminder that renovation, in all its forms, is the chance for a new chapter and foundation for amazing memories.
Here’s to rebuilding, reimagining, and trusting the process — one space, one plan, and one season at a time.
