There’s something magical about the hunt.

It’s the reason Flea Style exists in the first place. Long before our stores, cafés, hat bars, and book tour, there were early mornings spent wandering flea markets, dusty fields, vintage shows, estate sales, and hidden corners of small towns searching for pieces with personality and soul. It was never just about shopping — it was about discovery, storytelling, and bringing home goods that spark conversation and creativity.

Now, we’re so excited to bring even more of that spirit directly into our stores with the launch of our “From the Fields” section, debuting first at our largest location at The Star in Frisco.

This new curated area is dedicated to highlighting the incredible finds, fixtures, and vendors we discover while traveling flea markets across the country — along with the talented makers and artists we meet along the way whose unique goods deserve a spotlight of their own.
Think of it as a peek behind the curtain into what inspires Flea Style every single month.

Each month I spend countless hours combing flea markets to the deep internet rabbit holes searching for one-of-a-kind treasures that feel special enough to bring back to our community. Sometimes it’s a collection of vintage brooches and stick pins perfect for styling your favorite hat or blazer lapel. Other times it’s colorful kantha quilt tops, upcycled jewelry, funky art, or statement furniture pieces that instantly transform your outfit or room.

All these items will be in this section. For launch, you’ll also discover a pair of bamboo pendant lights from the 1960s hanging above the display as well as some Hollywood Regency tropical leaf chairs that look straight out of a groovy Palm Beach hotel.
“From the Fields” is designed to constantly evolve, just like the markets and makers that inspire it.

We’re also incredibly excited about the interactive experience woven throughout the space. Shopping should feel personal and inspiring, and we’ll be bringing customers directly into the sourcing process through interactive signage and QR codes placed throughout the section.
Scan a code and you might find yourself watching me sift through hundreds of vintage brooches and stick pins trying to uncover the very best pieces for our hats and accessories. Another video may take you alongside Allyson, our buyer, as she roams dusty Texas backroads and sprawling flea markets searching for cool store fixtures, funky furniture, and hidden gems we know our customers will love.

We want you to see the stories behind the products — the miles traveled, the makers discovered, and the moments of inspiration that lead these goods into our stores.
Because at the heart of Flea Style is curation with intention.

In a world of mass production and endless scrolling, there’s something meaningful about finding an item that feels collected rather than manufactured. Many of these goods are imperfect in the best possible way — handmade, vintage, weathered, storied, and impossible to duplicate. They bring warmth, character, and individuality into your home and wardrobe in a way fast trends simply can’t.
“From the Fields” is a celebration of exactly that. It’s also a way for us to continue supporting small businesses, independent artists, vintage dealers, and creative entrepreneurs whose work deserves to be discovered by a larger audience. Every item carries the fingerprint of the person who found it, restored it, or created it.

As Flea Style continues to grow, staying rooted in this treasure-hunting spirit remains incredibly important to us. It’s what shaped our brand from day one, and it’s what continues to inspire everything we do.
So next time you’re visiting our Frisco store at The Star, make sure to spend some extra time exploring “From the Fields.” You never know what you’ll uncover.
And be sure to follow along on social media to see where we’re bringing the concept next. This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to take you along for the hunt.
