Every now and then, life hands you a moment so full of gratitude and excitement that it’s hard to find the right words. This is one of those moments. As I look back and look forward, I’m overwhelmed — in the best way — because this month marks not one, but four incredible celebrations!
First and foremost, we’re celebrating six wonderful years of our Frisco store, home of our second location, first Heirloom Haul cafe and original Original Hat Bar. Six years of creativity, community and connection.
What began as a small dream to expand the brand has grown into something truly special — a space where memories are made and customers become part of our family. Each year has brought its challenges and triumphs (especially during the location's Covid era), and every step has been made possible by the love and support of all of you who have believed in what we do.
That commitment to grow our brand and make fun memories with our customers is why I’m so excited to roll out our new Hat Styling and Pin Kits in stores. This product has been in the works for over a year, carefully designed with you in mind — something that blends our signature one-of-a-kind style with easy-to-use accessories and tips to let anybody decorate the hat of their dreams from their turf.
These labors of love are a reflection of how far we’ve come from the early hat bar days and where we’re heading next. We can’t wait for you to experience the kits firsthand and make their stunning accents part of your own hat story whether you’re bellied up to our bars or rocking your creativity from home.
Adding to all of that fun, today marks How to Style a Hat’s official cover reveal and book tour launch! After countless late nights writing, editing, and dreaming, my new book is off to print and the cover is here to share with you all. Pre-sale if you want first dibs.

This book and tour represent more than just a celebration of beautiful hats — it’s a chance to connect, to share stories, and to meet so many of you who have cheered me and Flea Style on from the very beginning. Finally, this incredible season of celebration wouldn’t be complete without a personal milestone — my birthday! This year – 43! – feels extra special to celebrate surrounded by everything and everyone that makes my world brighter. Birthdays are a time for reflection, and as I blow out the candles, I’m reminded that my friends, family, team and customers are the true gifts.
So here’s to six amazing years, fun new products, a long-awaited book/tour launch, and another trip around the sun. Thank you for being part of this journey — for every purchase, every kind word, every moment of support. This community is what keeps my passion alive and dreams big.
